To our Greater Montreal Community:

After 92 years of proud and dedicated service to the Greater Montreal community, Collective Community Services (CCS) has been obliged to cease its operations at the end of March this year (2024). Regrettably, we have found that our resources, both our own and those from generous funders and donors, have become too thinly stretched to provide the level of service that we believe is necessary, against the relentless tide of cost increases.

Over the past decades, generations of preschool, elementary, and high school children and their families have benefited greatly from CCS programs. Our young participants have grown into contributing members of their communities, parents have forged friendships, and seniors have blossomed away from isolation. There is of course an ongoing need for these services that connect and empower people to become more confident, involved, and supportive of others with similar needs.

Fortunately, though CCS has ceased operations, our core programs, and/or similar programs, continue to be offered by the exceptional teams of similar community organisations, that have worked alongside CCS over the years.

Some organisations are following the same scheduling for the CCS programs they take over and others have their own schedules for their activities. So, you will likely continue to see friends from before, as well as make many new friends while learning new skills for the future.
